Stephen Daniel Richter, our 2013 Summer Intern, is bringing new skills to New Mexico Lawyers for the Arts. Stephen holds a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from San Francisco State University and is currently a law student at the University of Notre Dame Law School. Prior to pursuing the study of law, he studied sculpture and furniture design at California College of the Arts. When he can find time outside of his law studies, he works on his kinetic aluminum sculptures, which incorporate themes and images acquired with his camera through photojournalistic means. Stephen and his wife are also active as entrepreneurs. He aims to focus his future law practice in entertainment and intellectual property law, handling both domestic and international legal matters for his clients.

This summer at New Mexico Lawyers for the Arts, Stephen is conducting intakes and referrals for new clients, as well as sitting in on the intakes for the public pro bono clinic. He is interviewing potential panelists, researching material, and writing the talking points for the 2013 summer series of panels and lectures. He is also updating the database of members and developing content for the newsletter.
