When is the censorship of art acceptable? What rights to artists have in relation to the destruction or alteration of their public art? This panel will cover the First Amendment to the Constitution and U.S. obscenity law, examine censorship in the arts and its relationship to public funding, and the Visual Artists Rights Act (VARA). Free and open to the public.
